Take the Free Addiction Test
I'm a certified neuroscience and recovery coach — but I didn't come to this work just through study. I've watched addiction grip people I love deeply, and I live with ADHD myself, which means I understand impulsive behaviour and the feeling of being out of control from the inside out.
That combination of lived experience and clinical training is what makes Gentle Steps different. I'm not here to judge you or hand you a programme. I'm here to sit with you, understand your specific story, and help you find a way forward that actually fits your life.
We take a gentle, personalized approach to addiction recovery. Here's why clients love us:
We tailor every session to your unique situation and journey.
Our methods are backed by current psychology and addiction research.
Your privacy is our priority. You can feel safe opening up.
We provide ongoing guidance and encouragement at every step.

Everything you might be wondering before taking the first step.
Therapy tends to focus on understanding the past — exploring why patterns developed and processing trauma. Recovery coaching is more forward-focused. We work together on where you are right now, where you want to be, and what practical steps will get you there. The two can work alongside each other beautifully, but coaching is action-oriented and doesn't require a clinical diagnosis to begin.
Absolutely not. Many people reach out when they're still unsure whether they even have a problem. That uncertainty is a completely valid place to start. Our free initial consultation is designed exactly for that moment — a relaxed, no-pressure conversation to help you figure out where you stand and what, if anything, you'd like to do about it.
Yes — completely. What you share in sessions stays between us. Your privacy is not just a policy here — it is a core value. Many of the people I work with are carrying this completely alone, and the ability to speak openly without fear of it reaching anyone else is often the thing that makes the biggest difference.
There's no fixed answer — it depends entirely on where you're starting from and what you want to achieve. Some people see significant shifts in just a few sessions. Others benefit from longer-term support over several months. We'll discuss what makes sense for your situation from the very first session, and you're never locked into anything.
Then you are in exactly the right place. Most people I work with have tried before. Previous attempts are not failures — they are information. They tell us what approaches didn't fit your specific situation, what triggers weren't addressed, and what needs to be different this time. We build on what you've already learned, not from scratch.
All sessions are held online — via video call or phone, whichever you're more comfortable with. This means you can access coaching from anywhere in the world, in the privacy of your own space. Sessions are 60 minutes for coaching and 15 minutes for the free initial consultation.
